A man’s steps are of the LORD; How then can a man understand his own way?

From Don T.
This is a good point Mickey. We choose the decisions we make in life. The key is to make sure the decisions we make are in line with God's will to ensure the best chance for success. Sometimes WE think WE are making the right decision, and when the decision does not go in our favor we may get upset with God. In the below passage, Jesus was being called out by the Pharisees because he claimed he was a light to the world. A witness to himself through his Father. The Pharisees claimed that he needed to have a human witness with him for a testimony to be valid. Even Jesus was stating that he does not make decisions on his own, but with his Father. Even in decisions in our personal life, man or people we are close to will have opinions for what is best for us, but only God knows truly the best decision to be made.

John 8:14-18
"Jesus answered, "Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going. You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one. But if I do judge, my decisions are right, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me. In your own Law it is written that the testimony of two men is valid. I am one who testifies for myself; my other witness is the Father, who sent me."
Thank you Nelson A and Mickey C for the posts today!
I started a blog @ http://dplan36.blogspot.com/ where a take a scripture a day that help me think. I would be happy if you could join as a Christian blog together so we can encourage each other 24 hours a day. The blog is just me right now where I dump scriptures and then go back to build me up. Let me know what you think.

From Mickey C:
Billy Graham had a great quote: “We should never confuse God’s will with bad decisions (free will).” While God created us for His glory and for us to have a relationship with Him, from the beginning in Eden he gave us free will to choose or not choose Him.

As hard as we may try, we will never be able to walk in the foot steps of the Lord. That is why he sent His Son to walk with us. To guide us; to point the direction; to pick us up when we fail; and we will fail my brothers and sisters.

A man’s steps are true when they are with/of the Lord, but the only steps (every single step) that have EVER been 100% true and pure have been the steps of the Lord.
